Punta Catalina’s Unit 1 to undergo 40-Day scheduled maintenance

Baní.- The Punta Catalina Electric Generation Company (EGEPC) announced that Unit 1 will undergo its scheduled annual maintenance starting June 10. This maintenance was communicated in advance to the Coordinating Body of the Interconnected Electrical System (OC-SENI).

“This maintenance is essential to ensure the stability of power generation and the reliability of the equipment,” the company stated in a letter.

The maintenance process is expected to take 40 days.

EGEPC apologized to the electricity distributors and their customers for any inconvenience caused.
