Second edition Dominican Republic-Jamaica Business Forum

Jamaica.- The Dominican Republic Embassy in Kingston, Jamaica, has announced the upcoming second edition of the Dominican Republic-Jamaica Business Forum, scheduled for April 17th and 18th.

Part of the Dominican Week in Jamaica, which commenced on April 13th and extends until April 20th, this forum will bring together ministers and entrepreneurs from both nations for high-level panels, presentations, and thematic discussions. These sessions, as outlined in a press release, will cover various aspects of the bilateral agenda, including trade, investment, tourism, finance, energy, connectivity, agriculture, innovation, and the orange economy.

Angie Martínez, the Dominican ambassador in Kingston, underscored the flourishing bilateral relations between the two countries during the Second Dominican Week in Jamaica. She highlighted the remarkable dynamism, particularly evident in the significant increase in Dominican exports to Jamaica, which surged by approximately 80% since 2021.

Martínez emphasized the opportunities presented by these activities for Dominican companies to engage with potential clients and investors. Encouraging participation in the Business Forum and the broader Dominican Week events, she invited companies to explore new horizons and capitalize on the networking opportunities available.

The Dominican Republic-Jamaica Business Forum aims to foster business and investment opportunities between the two nations through business matchmaking sessions, B2B meetings, and visits to potential strategic partners’ facilities. By facilitating dialogue and collaboration, the event seeks to create mutual benefits and forge new synergies among participants.
