Hipólito Mejía: Trump may not be a brilliant politician, but he’s a skilled businessman

Santo Domingo.- Former Dominican President Hipólito Mejía commented on Donald Trump’s political and business skills during an interview this Monday. While Mejía acknowledged that Trump is not a brilliant politician, he emphasized the former U.S. president’s undeniable talent as a businessman.

Mejía described Trump’s aggressive negotiation tactics, which, though controversial, have been effective in achieving results. He compared Trump’s style to friends who mark up a product significantly, only to make a profit once they lower the price.

Mejia pointed out the deep polarization Trump creates in the U.S. political landscape, where opinions about him are sharply divided between extremes.
