Dominican Republic and Costa Rica sign digital transformation agreement

Santo Domingo.- The Dominican Republic and Costa Rica have inked a cooperation agreement to bolster digital transformation and cybersecurity, centering on mutual recognition of digital signatures. Signed virtually by Indotel President Guido Gómez Mazara and Costa Rica’s Science and Technology Minister Paula Bogantes Zamora, the pact establishes a strategic alliance to ensure interoperable, secure digital trust services across both nations.

Interoperability & Security: The agreement enables seamless use of each country’s digital certificates, elevating access to secure e‑services and fostering innovation.

Regional Integration: By laying legal and technical foundations for e‑governance collaboration, the pact paves the way for future partnerships with other nations.

Strategic Impact: As the DR’s second digital‑signature agreement, this initiative under President Luis Abinader advances the country’s role in regional digital trust and supports its broader modernization agenda.
